Learning Beyond Books: Class 2 Students Explore Earth & Moon in a Fun Practical Session
Students of Class 2 recently participated in an exciting practical learning activity where they explored two fascinating concepts—the rotation and revolution of the Earth and the changing phases of the Moon.
Using simple models and hands-on demonstrations, students observed how the Earth’s rotation causes day and night, helping them clearly understand why mornings turn into evenings and nights return to mornings again. 🌞🌙
They also learned about the Moon’s revolution around the Earth. By watching how the Moon changes its position, students understood why the Moon appears in different shapes on different days. From a thin crescent to a full moon, these changes suddenly made sense in a fun and visual way.

This practical session turned big scientific ideas into easy, memorable experiences. Instead of just reading from books, students saw, touched, and experienced the concepts themselves—making learning clear, joyful, and meaningful. 🌟
Activities like these spark curiosity, build understanding, and encourage young learners to ask questions about the world around them—proving that learning science can be both simple and exciting. At IISAR, we believe that learning goes beyond textbooks. Through hands-on activities and interactive teaching methods, we aim to build strong foundations and nurture curiosity from an early age. Such practical sessions reflect IISAR’s commitment to making education meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable for every student.
